Getting started

1. Sign in

Open any Bonsai client and sign in. The mobile app signs in as an OAuth 2.1 public client, so your password never passes through the app.

2. Choose a space

A space is where your notes live. Pick an existing space or create a new one. If someone shares a project or an area with you, it appears alongside your own notes in the same view.

3. Read and tend

Your space opens on Today. From there you can browse projects and areas, read notes, and check off tasks. Checking a box is the one write the mobile app makes: it toggles a checkbox that is already written in a note.

Tasks use four states:

- [ ] Not started
- [/] In progress
- [x] Done
- [!] Blocked

4. Keep it offline

Each space is cached on the device, so screens open instantly and still render offline from the last sync.
